WHAT IS THE MLA EXPERIENCE?

Each MLA Team Member is empowered to create a unique and memorable day for our students. Our programmes are built to provide the best experience of the destination they choose. The MLA programmes include cultural integration, as well as activities and excursions that include the local flavours to bring a unique experience to life.

MLA British, Irish, American and Canadian Experience

Visiting a country also means living and knowing its culture, its history, and its many traditions. Our MLA Experiences highlight the best of what foreign cities and countries can offer: dances, music, food, literature, films and many other surprises. In each centre, there is a different MLA Experience that will allow students to discover the real atmosphere of the host country with magical moments: The Royal Family, Peter Pan, Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, Romeo and Juliet, The Golden Era of Jazz, Celtic Traditions, American Cowboys, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hawaiian Luau… all exclusively planned for each group!

MiniBreak

Where indicated, students can experience one of the acclaimed MLA MiniBreaks with a visit to a unique city and extra attractions staying overnight in university or hotel accommodation.

MLA Kit

Each student will receive the iconic MLA Summer Yellow backpack and key/ID lanyard for use during their holiday.

Hard Rock Cafe

Most MLA programmes include a meal at the world-famous Hard Rock Cafe, serving their legendary American fare since 1971.

Musical

In many MLA programmes you have the possibility to enjoy a musical in one of the most famous theatres in London’s West End or on Broadway in New York.

EXCURSIONS WITH ENGLISH SPEAKING STAFF
AND ENTRANCES INCLUDED

Our programmes allow groups to have more time exploring, more excursions, more fun, more services, more activities and lots of cool places to visit!

The MLA programme provides several full-day and half-day excursions with entrances and transfers included. In addition, students are accompanied by well-trained English-speaking staff during the trips to ensure greater student safety and practise English in a real-world setting. Many MLA UK and Irish centres operate a zigzag format, with either morning lessons and afternoon activities or morning activities and afternoon lessons.

For many programmes in the United States and Canada, where the excursion programme is rich, we use full day lessons (mornings and afternoons) to allow for more full day excursions.

Optional excursions

In addition to our excursions programme, we offer students the chance to choose optional excursions at an extra charge. Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Harry Potter World are just a few of the many examples of ways you can personalize your MLA experience. Optional excursions vary at each centre and each week throughout the summer. They may also be dependent on booking numbers. You will find details and costs in each centre.
