For over 50 years, MLA has worked every day to offer young people educational opportunities that open minds, strengthen self-confidence, and provide concrete tools to look to the future. It is from this vision that MLA’s support for Save the Children was born—and renewed again in 2025—an organization that has always been at the forefront of defending children’s rights.
A commitment that was recently acknowledged with a heartfelt message of thanks from Tom Reis, Save the Children’s representative, addressed to MLA CEO Massimo Tardi. A message that highlights how, today more than ever, choosing to protect children means choosing to stand on the right side of history.
A Shared Value: The Right to Grow
MLA’s mission is clear: to create the conditions for young people to grow, learn, and explore the world through educational experiences that help them become aware, open-minded, and responsible citizens.
But for this to be possible, there is a fundamental prerequisite: that every child can live their childhood in safety, free from hunger, fear, and deprivation.
In 2025, as emphasized by Save the Children, the world has faced new waves of division and violence. And once again, children have paid the highest price. In this context, supporting those who actively defend children’s rights was not just an act of solidarity, but a choice fully aligned with MLA’s identity.
Education and Protection: Two Sides of the Same Responsibility
The educational experiences promoted by MLA are rooted in the belief that every young person, when given the right conditions, is capable of extraordinary things. The same principle guides Save the Children’s work in the world’s most fragile contexts: ensuring children have what they need today to be able to build tomorrow.
Thanks to MLA’s contribution, in 2025 essential programs were supported, providing children with access to basic necessities, protection, educational support, and hope. A real, documented, and measurable impact, outlined in Save the Children’s Impact Report 2025, which shows how the funds raised are translated into concrete actions.
As highlighted in the message of thanks, it would have been easy to look away. Instead, MLA chose to act, fully aware that a company working with and for young people cannot overlook the protection of childhood, wherever it is under threat.
For MLA, supporting Save the Children means strongly affirming that education cannot exist without protection, and that offering opportunities to young people also means defending every child’s right to simply be a child.
Looking Ahead
2026 opens with new challenges, but also with even stronger determination. MLA will continue to support initiatives that protect childhood and promote a fairer future, because believing in young people means protecting them from day one.
Defending childhood is not just an act of social responsibility—it is an integral part of MLA’s mission.
