Leaving for a study holiday abroad is an extraordinary experience.
New friendships, new cultures, new challenges.

But there is one question many students (and parents) ask before departure: how can we make sure we get the most out of this opportunity?

The answer is clear: choose the MLA Pre-Departure Course.

It’s not just about “reviewing English.”
It’s about arriving confident, prepared, and already one step ahead.

What Is the MLA Pre-Departure Course and Why It Makes a Difference

The MLA Pre-Departure Course is an 8-month language preparation program designed to support students before they leave for their study holiday.

It is not a simple recorded online course.
It is a structured learning path with live native-speaking teachers, designed to:

  • Strengthen language foundations

  • Improve speaking and listening skills

  • Increase communication confidence

  • Prepare students for full immersion abroad

Arriving overseas with stronger fluency means being able to fully enjoy a real cultural and linguistic experience from day one — without hesitation or anxiety.

Start Confident: Less Stress, More Experience

Imagine two students arriving at college.

The first struggles to understand instructions, feels insecure speaking, and needs time to adjust.
The second communicates confidently, participates actively, and integrates immediately.

    The difference? Preparation.

The MLA Pre-Departure Course allows students to:

    • Become familiar with spoken English

    • Practice real conversation

    • Acquire useful everyday vocabulary

    • Reduce “first-day” anxiety

For students, feeling capable of communicating right away means living the experience more fully and positively.

For parents, it means peace of mind.

Improve Results During Your MLA Study Holiday

A study holiday is not only about fun.
It is also an educational investment.

Students who arrive with solid foundations are able to:

      • Follow college lessons more easily

      • Participate with greater confidence

      • Understand teachers and classmates faster

      • Progress more quickly in level

The MLA Pre-Departure Course ensures students are ready to immerse themselves immediately in academic activities.

In other words, no time is lost “catching up” linguistically.
Students start growing from day one.

This means making the most of the MLA Study Holiday.

Two Pathways to Choose From: General English or Cambridge Preparation

One of the strengths of the MLA Pre-Departure Course is the possibility to personalize the learning path.

        1️⃣ General English

Ideal for students who want to:

        • Improve overall language knowledge

        • Strengthen grammar and vocabulary

        • Develop speaking and listening skills

        • Increase fluency and confidence

Perfect for students who want to feel more prepared before departure.

          2️⃣ Cambridge Exams Preparation

Designed for students who wish to:

          • Prepare for an internationally recognized certification

          • Follow a structured and goal-oriented study plan

          • Sit the Cambridge exam directly at college during their study holiday

A Cambridge certification adds real value to a student’s academic journey.

With the MLA Pre-Departure Course, preparation begins months in advance, allowing students to approach the exam with confidence.

8 Months of Preparation: A Real Advantage

The 8-month duration is not random.

            It allows students to:

            • Build consistency in learning

            • Gradually consolidate skills

            • Monitor progress over time

            • Develop real language autonomy

This is not a last-minute intensive course.
It is a structured journey that accompanies students step by step toward departure.

Arriving at college with a stronger level means experiencing the study holiday with a true “pro-level” mindset.

How the MLA Pre-Departure Course Works

The process is simple and well organized:

              1. Enroll in an MLA Study Holiday.

              2. Choose your pre-departure path: General English or Cambridge Exams Preparation.

              3. Begin your online journey with live native-speaking teachers.

              4. Depart abroad with solid preparation and confidence.

Everything is designed to make the transition to the international experience smooth and natural.

An Investment That Goes Beyond the Study Holiday

The MLA Pre-Departure Course does not only prepare students for departure.

It prepares them for the future.

                A strong level of English:

                • Improves academic performance

                • Expands university opportunities

                • Strengthens professional prospects

                • Builds independence and self-confidence

In an increasingly international world, starting with advanced language skills provides a real competitive advantage.

And that advantage begins before departure.

Why the MLA Pre-Departure Course Is a Strategic Choice

Choosing the MLA Pre-Departure Course means:

                  ✔ Reducing initial stress
                  ✔ Improving college performance
                  ✔ Strengthening communication confidence

It is not just an extra.
                  It is an experience accelerator.

Conclusion: Start One Step Ahead with MLA

A study holiday is a unique opportunity.
But to fully enjoy it, preparation is key.
